Tom was always looking for adventure while growing up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His longing for travel and new experiences brought him to a career in the Navy when he was still quite young. While enjoying his new adventures on an aircraft carrier he accidentally threw the wrong thing into the incinerator and caused serious damage. His captain told him, "You broke it; you fix it." This was when Tom learned to lay brick, the beginning of his new career.

Finding a career after a life of adventure

You can feel confident entrusting your home and business to our skilled, knowledgeable certified technicians.

After the Navy, Tom was living in California when he read about a job opening requiring someone with experience laying brick. Though over 50 people applied, Tom was the most knowledgeable and was awarded the job. Soon he gained extensive knowledge about building and repairing chimneys.

Taking skills to create a new adventure

From California Tom moved to several other states and worked for a variety of companies. Several years later he decided to leave the cold and move to Florida. He thought he would begin a new career. Instead he was surprised to realize that there are many fireplaces in Florida and the need for professionals with chimney sweep, repair, and dryer vent cleaning skills.

He started his own company in the bay area 20 years ago and has since joined the National Chimney Sweep Guild and the Chimney Safety Institute. He also earned the prestige of being the president of the Florida Guild of Professional Chimney Sweeps.

Though he has decades of experience Tom is still dedicated to staying up-to-date on the advancements of the industry, including investing in camera equipment for the most efficient and professional services available.
